Our Space, Your Place, The Splash Centre is Wanganui’s very own Community Recreational Swimming Pool. Set in Springvale Park, this complex was built for your enjoyment, fun and exercise. The Splash Centre complex includes something for all the family, from lane swimming to a lazy river, spa pools, learners’ and toddlers’ pools-and two giant hydro-slides!
Facilities include changing and shower rooms, toilets, viewing areas with seating, and a shop, supervision of swimmers, swimming and instructional opportunities such as learn to swim, aerobics etc, swimming aids such as boards, floats, lane markers etc. and hot showers.
Tailor made activities to suit all age groups. Enquire about our Aquajet Swim School today which provide Learn to Swim lessons that are structured and motivating. Looking for holiday activities for your children? This is the place to come and cool off on a sunny day!
There is so much for adults to do at Splash. There is always lane swimming available, the fitness centre is open or, if you have come for some relaxation time, the steam room, sauna, spa pools and hydrotherapy pool are here for your enjoyment.
Why not get along to the fitness centre? Apart from the gym equipment Splash Centre lots of rowing machines, with organised classes to train with others and ensure you add that little extra bit of effort!
Water fun for everyone opened at 6.00am on a weekday and 8.00am on weekends and closing at 8.00pm and 6.00pm respectively. Hours may be altered due to bookings. Children under 8 years must be actively supervised by a caregiver aged 16 or over. “Actively supervised” means watching the child at all times and able to provide immediate assistance.
